Vox Anima Chamber Choir Retreat Weekend

Vox Anima Chamber Choir enjoyed several days of rehearsing, socialising, planning, and relaxing last weekend in Maidstone, from 24 - 26 July.

The Choir began the weekend with a relaxed BBQ on Friday evening, followed by a day of rehearsal and planning for the coming year on Saturday, at Sutton Valence Prep School. Some repertoire for the autumn season was worked through, including works by Bob Chilcott, Ryan Murphy, Ēriks Ešenvalds, and Alicia Walker.

Having been set some musical (and rather silly) challenges by Maestro James Meaders, members were out and about in Maidstone on Sunday, competing in teams and entertaining some rather surprised locals! Thanks go to Woodstock Café in Barming for their nourishing and plentiful brunch plates, which set the Choir up for an action-packed day.

The weekend ended with a relaxing afternoon tea, hosted by the wonderful Alan and Lisa Moore. A huge thank you to such generous hosts for a most delicious, refreshing, and relaxing end to a fabulous weekend!
